Malpeque Bay Holds the Lowest Municipal Tax Rate in PEI

Council is pleased to confirm that the municipal tax rate for the year remains 8.5 cents per $100 of assessed value, the lowest municipal rate on Prince Edward Island. Careful stewardship of municipal resources, a strong volunteer base, and a diverse local economy built on farming, fishing, and tourism allow the municipality to keep costs low while maintaining halls, roads, and emergency services across all seven communities.
